SA is well positioned for this, as its surplus labour pool means that the country has the manpower to shift from carbon intensive mechanised processes to labour intensive processes.

However, I don’t think it should be additional revenue to government. Government should protect the country’s aggregate tax competitiveness, by reducing other taxes to compensate for the increases in carbon tax (e.g. reduce company tax).
