Hmm, kinda becomes a fix, doesn't it. When I was living in Dubai we used to have an insane, unauthorised race from Dubai to Muscat in Oman. Long deserted roads, if a little sand blown, followed by a mandatory stop at the border before a stint through the moountains and then back down the other side into Muscat. Driving a TT, I regularly hit the limiter at a speedo reading of 260ish. Closer to home, I never exceed the speed limit when testing cars. Well, that's the official line and I have to stick to it. Even when I am given an R8 for a week. I also managed to hit the top end in the A3 2.0T on the way to Graaf Reinet. The road was a bit dodgy, and the car had quite a bit of waft going on. It was fun.
