Nissan has unveiled the new 2012 Nissan Tiida at the Auto Shanghai 2011 motor show in China. The new Tiida receives an all-new body design and a potential turbocharged engine.
Offering a much more sporty and muscular look compared to the existing Nissan Tiida lineup, the 2012 model features a more complete and consistent body design. The doors for instance, incorporate a number of kinks and bulging contours which match the stronger front and rear ends.
Some aspects of the car’s look can be linked to the Nissan LEAF electric car too, with its fluidic flow of lines that run from the headlights up to the top of the rear hatch. The rear end also appears to be skewed in to look narrower than the front, much like the LEAF.
Final engine choices are yet to be announced, but Nissan has said the new Tiida will come with a turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine of some description. A CVT transmission will also be included in the mix.
