At the closed-door event on April 1st last week, BMW unveiled this M3 GTS Sedan Concept. The M3 GTS Sedan is, of course, derived from the M3 GTS Coupe but this model is still a concept and is not sporting the full GTS assortment yet.
Power is unspecified, but is said to be below the 331 kW mark of the M3 GTS Coupe and somewhere above the 309 kW of the standard M3. Whether it’s packing the 4.4 litre V8 of the GTS or is simply sporting a massaged version of the 4.0-litre from the standard M3, we don’t know.
Yesterday, spy shots emerged from the Nurburgring vicinity where the M3 GTS Sedan prototype was spotted rolling on larger 19-inch alloy wheels, together with big brakes, a modified front bumper and a new rear spoiler. The car is said to be sporting a lighter exhaust and a retuned suspension too – perhaps identical to the M3 GTS Coupe.
The M3 GTS Sedan will go to production – in limited numbers – and may ultimately prove closer to the club-racer GTS Coupe than this concept is hinting at.
