PSA launches Project Blitz. Includes electric cars
Seven hybrids and four electric vehicles will spearhead PSA’s (Peugeot/Citroen) Push to Pass growth strategy which we presume follows on from PSA’s Back In The Race campaign. Excuse us, there has been a few…
Speaking to the media this week, PSA outlined its growth strategy for the next five years, with the brevity of that it “aims to meet customers’ mobility needs by anticipating changes in car usage patterns”.
Making such claims is all too easy but operating under another catchphrase of Project Blitz; Peugeot, Citroen and DS will launch one new car per region, per brand, per year. If you unpack that into models it works out as 26 passenger cars and eight light commercial vehicles.
PSA boss Carlos Tavares aims to increase revenue by 10% by the year 2018. Push to Pass is the company’s first step to achieve that: creating more value by optimising its customer base, while also expanding it through digitalisation and multi-brand offers in aftersales, leasing, used cars, mobility services and fleet management.
Tavares said: “Based on our financial reconstruction, we will launch a global product and technology offensive. Now more agile, we are ready to shift paradigms by anticipating changes in car usage patterns. Our digital transformation will make the PSA Group a company connected to its customers. With Push to Pass, we will ensure PSA profitable organic growth.”
PSA South Africa is working on additional value-added schemes including ‘We Come To You’ which conveniently delivers a test drive vehicle to your work or home and Peugeot’s 5-year Premium Plan.
