The Hennessey Venom GT supercar will be launched at next March’s Geneva motor show, the company has confirmed.
The Venom GT has already undergone some key revisions from the spec originally announced, including having its engine changed from a twin-turbo Viper V10 to a self-built V8, and shedding kerb weight from 1224 kg to ‘less than 1088kg’.
The car is the work of Texas tuner John Hennessey, and its maker claims its V8 engine, which is linked to a six-speed manual gearbox, will deliver ‘up to 1200bhp’ or 882 kW.
Consequently, the Venom GT is quoted as hitting zero to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds, 0 to 160 km/h in 5.3 seconds, zero to 240 km/h in 8.9 seconds and zero to 320 km/h in 14.3s. It has a top speed of 435 km/h.
No prices or on sale dates have been announced.
