Kepler Motors, a company founded by world speed record holder Russ Wicks, has announced it will debut its supercar, the Kepler Motion, at the 2009 Dubai International Motor Show.
The Kepler Motion is powered by a Ford EcoBoost twin-turbo 3,5-litre V6 engine, which sends 405 kW to the rear wheels and an electric motor that sends 183 kW to the front wheels. Together with the all-wheel drive Dual Powertrain Technology (DPT) system, the Kepler Motion outputs a total of 588 kW. This setup allows the Motion to accelerate from 0 100 km/h in less than 2.5 seconds, before hitting a top speed in excess of 320 km/h.
The manufacturer says the Kepler Motion features an active suspension and aerodynamics, a launch control system and a programmable track assistant system.
The two-seater is built on a carbon-fibre monocoque chassis and body, and is equipped with StopTech Continuous Carbon Ceramic (C3) AeroRotors brakes.
Kepler has not mentioned pricing yet but, with a production run of just 50 units planned, we expect it won’t come cheap. The Motion will be assembled by hand and delivery of the first units is expected to begin in 2011.
