G-Power 2012 BMW M5

G-Power has officially released their first package for the 2012 BMW F10M M5 after two months of development. Stage 1 offers a performance increase, the removal of the Vmax limiter, and a range of technical upgrades.

The 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine has been tweaked to produce 470 kW and maximum torque of 780 Nm, an increase of 58 kW and 100 Nm. The performance increase and removal of the electronic speed limiter enables a top speed of more than 310 km/h. A four-trim full stainless-steel sport exhaust system is also available improving the stock soundtrack with a deeper tone. The modifications cut down the M5’s 0 – 100 km/h time from 4.4 seconds to 3.9 seconds and allows the car to reach 200 km/h in 11.9 seconds.

G-Power also reworked the suspension, installing its “GM5-RS” components, featuring adjustable height coil-overs and nine different bound and rebound settings. An upgraded breaking system, 21-inch alloy wheels, and a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres, sized 265/30 ZR21 up front and 305/25 ZR21 in the back, have also been added.
