Kahn Design Aston Martin Rapide

Is this not one of the most subtle and gorgeous tuning efforts by Kahn Design? The car in question is the already stunning four-door, Aston Martin Rapide, and we think it should be the way many more tuning houses go in future. The pretty, yet understated Aston Martin Rapide is also the perfect candidate for a refined tuning effort such as this Kahn Design. This particular, all-black, Rapide gets a matte black front grille mesh; bonnet vents done over in billet; new black brake calipers; side vents that have also been given the matte black treatment; sports exhausts and that must have paparazzi avoiding accessory, privacy glass.

It isn’t audacious or offensive to the eyes; it simply brings all its subtle elements together in a perfectly captured package for the Aston Martin Rapide. Perhaps the most noticeable addition are the huge 21-inch RSX-F, Kahn Design wheels in platinum silver finish. Kahn say the car is also slightly lowered to complement the new wheels and fill the wheels arches “just right”. The interior features a bespoke Alcantara sports steering wheel and new instrument binnacle.

It’s doubtful that Kahn will do anything under the bonnet to the huge, handmade, 6.0-litre V12, but the say they will exploit some new in-house exhausts to give the Rapide an even more aggressive bellow when the rev counter climbs over 5 000 r/min. We love the Aston Martin Rapide and think it is probably the coolest car Aston has made in over a decade. This subtle Kahn upgrade improves it even further.
