Aachen-based BMW tuning specialist AC Schnitzer has launched its performance and styling components for the BMW F30 3 Series.
Let’s start with the all-important power upgrades, which are available for both petrol and diesel models. The BMW 320d has 135 kW and 380 Nm of torque in standard guise, but AC’s engineers have boosted power to 160 kW, although they haven’t released a torque figure. In terms of petrol engines, the BMW 328i has been boosted from its standard 180 kW to 216 kW, while the BMW 335i enjoys 17 percent more power with 264 kW. AC Schnitzer haven’t released torque figures for their tuning efforts, but have said that their performance tweaks are still in the final development stage and will be released later this year.
Mechanical changes include a sports suspension that is 25 mm lower than the standard car’s ride height and a choice of 18- to 20-inch wheels in AC Schnitzer’s own designs. The tuners also offer a variety of sports exhaust systems and tailpipe options.
Aerodynamic and styling enhancements include a chrome grille, new front splitter, side skirts and rear diffuser, as well as a boot spoiler. AC Schnitzer decals are also available.
Inside, AC Schnitzer have added aluminium inserts and covers for the handbrake, pedals, i-Drive controller, as well as velour floor mats.
