Usain Bolt Collaborates On Special Nissan GT-Rs

Nissan GT-R Bolt Edition

The fastest man in the world, Jamaican olympian and gold medal holder, Usain Bolt, is working with Nissan to produce a number of special edition Nissan GT-Rs.

The first, is a one-of-a-kind GT-R that features gold paintwork, unique interior fittings finished in real gold, as well as being embossed with Bolt’s signature. The ‘Mr Bolt’ GT-R shown here has been designed for charity and will be auctioned on eBay to support the Usain Bolt Foundation, which creates educational and cultural opportunities for children in Jamaica.

The second special GT-R will designed exclusively for the olympian, who drove a number of Nissan GT-Rs at the company’s proving ground near Oppama, Japan, last week. Nissan engineers will take into account Bolt’s reaction times, acceleration and handling abilities to develop a one-off car for his own personal use.

Finally, a special edition, known as the ‘GT-R Bolt Edition’, will be made available in all markets where the Nissan GT-R is sold. Nissan say they will release more details of the limited GT-R Bolt Edition in future, so we’ll have to wait and see whether the 404 kW and 628 Nm, 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6, receives a boost in power or just a slicker set of running shoes.
