Video: Jaguar C-X17 Crossover Concept

We’re certain that every enthusiast that sees a new Jaguar for the first time tries to imagine it in its capacity as a ‘big cat’ about to pounce. Well then, it doesn’t take much imagination when it comes to the new Jaguar C-X17 crossover concept does it?

The four-seat crossover looks decidedly athletic in its ‘Caesium Blue’ exterior coat with 23-inch alloy wheels. The concept’s lithe stance is courtesy of narrow light clusters both front and rear, that are inspired by the new F-Type. ‘Jaguar’ and ‘luxury’ are interchangeable terms, so suffice to say the concept’s interior is of the highest standards. Two-tone leather, aluminum trim, black anodized metal accents, a full-length center console and futuristic infotainment system, are just some of the highlights.

Beneath the skin lies an all-new aluminium monocoque platform that will also be used to underpin the company’s ‘mid-size premium’ sedan in 2015. Powertrain details are unknown at this stage, but the range-topper is said to have an incredible top speed, for a rossover, of over 300 km/h. In addition, Jaguar are targeting CO2 emissions of less than 100 g/km. Bold claims indeed and ones that remain to be seen.
