A 7-speed PDK and rear-wheel steering are just two of the major changes to the new Porsche 911 (991) GT3. The previous 911 (997) GT3 had neither of these and was known as one of the best drivers cars of its time. Compared to Porsche’s manual transmission, the PDK double-clutch brings unrivalled ease of use, efficiency and performance. For these reasons Porsche have decided to offer the new 911 GT3 exclusively with the PDK transmission. Was the 997 GT3 the last of the pure Porsches?
