A new breed of hybrid cars has arrived and they’re breaking the mold set by the likes of the Japanese-built Toyota Pruis and Honda Insight. Yes, the Germans have arrived with their ultra fast, sleek and luxurious hybrid sports cars and, in the case of Porsche and BMW, we’ve already seen both the 918 Spyder and i8 on South African soil.
In this video the development of the new BMW i8 hybrid’s styling is explained, however, we don’t think BMW have done their efforts justice by presenting the car in such a lifeless fashion. C’mon BMW, where’s the excitement, where’s the enthusiasm?
