In South Africa we know the Mitsubishi Colt as a utility vehicle, but in its home market of Japan, as well as virtually everywhere else, the name has been applied to a subcompact hatchback. The all-wheel drive version in this video has been placed on steroids thanks to a massive turbo upgrade, among other things, and a tank of the highest octane E95 ethanol. The results are impressive to say the least and also rather frightening judging by the in-car footage.
To add some perspective to the little Colt’s performance, the Porsche 911 Turbo S accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and has the same top speed. Oh, and let’s not forget that the 911T has a PDK transmission.
