Forced-induction is often the simplest and cheapest way to gain horsepower, which is why this naturally-aspirated Jeep SRT8 is all the more impressive. Bored out from 6.4- to 7.2-litres, the V8 rockets the Grand Cherokee down the quarter-mile in 10.48 seconds at 207 km/h. Although the SUV has been converted from all-wheel to rear-wheel drive, there’s no word on the SUV’s power output. In stock form the Grand Cherokee SRT8 delivers 344 kW and a 0 – 100 km/h print of around 5.2 seconds, so judging by the convincing wheelie, this Jeep must be pushing out about 25% more power, or over 440 kW.
