Take a ride in the all-new BMW M3 (F80) and BMW M4 (F82) around the 4.692 km Autódromo Internacional do Algarve – commonly known as the Portimão circuit. Christaan Gebhardt from Sport Auto is behind the wheel and demonstrates the steering response and accuracy of the new M cars, as well as their acceleration, braking and launch control.
The 3.0-litre straight-six engine employs a BMW TwinPower turbocharging system to develop 317 kW and 550 Nm of torque. BMW claim identical performance figures (0 – 100 km/h in for both the four-door M3 and two-door M4, despite the M3 weighing 23 kg more at 1 523 kg.
