Motor Trend’s associate editor, Carlos Lagos, travelled to Italy to drive the LaFerrari hypercar at the Italian manufacturer’s own Fiorano test track. More enlightening though are his comments about driving the hypercar on narrow and bumpy Italian roads.
As a refresher, the LaFerrari combines a naturally aspirated 6.3-litre V8 that produces 588 kW at 9 250 r/min, with a 120 kW electric motor. Peak power is 708 kW, while total torque is more than 900 Nm at 7 000 r/min. Zero to 100 km/h is over in less than 3-seconds and the car has lapped Fiorano 3-seconds faster than the already frightening quickly Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. Watch the video to hear Lagos’ impressions of the power delivery, drivetrain, brakes and chassis.
