BMW might have been the first to bring remote parking to the mainstream but Mercedes is developing a system that could make BMW’s self parking devastatingly obsolete. Set to debut on the next Mercedes E-Class, the system replaces the regular key with a multifunctional cellphone application. The self parking technology also differs by being able to perform complex maneuvers like alley docking. Sorry BMW, you lose this battle before it has officially begun.
