Unfortunate name aside the KIA Cadenza is limbering up to a 2016 launch with these images being a very first look at the new model. Known as the K7 in other markets, the Cadenza name will most likely stick should it arrive in South Africa. Positioning could see it slot in above the Optima as KIA’s premium sedan, giving it an estimated price of around R600 000.
Styled by Peter Schreyer these early sketches point to a design that is progressive with an elongated bonnet, wider and lower stance and an overall sharper visage. Judging by the interior image the cabin boasts all of KIA’s latest technology (yes that’s a large infotainment screen) and a pleasing mix of materials and colours.
Cars like the KIA Cadenza can only be positive steps for the brand with many of these features expected to filter down the model range in due course.
