With the new Bentley Continental GT on its way, you can bet it’s just a matter of time before the rest of the Continental family – GTC convertible and Continental Flying Spur sedan – are brought up to date with the manufacturers latest styling. However, for those with a Continental Flying Spur (CFS) parked in the drive who can’t wait for the new model to arrive – or fear their current car will soon look dated – Wald International has announced a series of aftermarket upgrades to the big sedan that ought make a standard Bentley CFS stand out.

Consisting largely of exterior changes, Wald International’s aerodynamics package aims to enhance the appeal of the car, with the addition of a new front bumper (including  larger air-vents and LED running lights); new side skirts; a rear bumper with faux-diffuser, as well as discrete spoilers on the boot lid and side windows. A quad-tailpipe exhaust is also available, along with extra carbon fibre trim and multi-spoke alloy wheels.

We expect news of a new Bentley Continental Flying Spur to be released in the near future so stay tuned.

Bentley Motors is ready to unveil two unique Continental models, which have been engineered and designed exclusively for the South Africa market.

These special edition cars will be created at Bentley’s Crewe headquarters with both models offering a range of features reserved especially for Bentley’s African customers. Established in South Africa since 2003, with partner Pearl Automotive, Bentley now has showrooms in both Johannesburg and Cape Town.

The Continental Flying Spur Africa and the Continental Flying Spur Speed Africa, retain all the potent performance of the company’s Continental Flying Spur and Spur Speed, the world’s fastest luxury four-door saloon, but are further distinguished by some subtle exterior and interior ‘Africa’ motifs. The new details include an exterior front fender badge, tread plate and ashtray lid badge – all bearing the Africa signature.

The two models also receive a bespoke set of wheels. The Continental Flying Spur Africa features 14-spoke diamond alloy wheels, while the Speed Africa model is fitted with sportier, 10-spoke 20-inch wheels and also offers the choice of carbon ceramic brakes.

The performance of the 6.0-litre W12 engine remains the same, which means the Flying Spur Africa is capable of a 0-100km/h sprint time of just 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 312 km/h. The flagship Flying Spur Speed Africa offers a 9 percent more powerful engine with 449 kW and 750 Nm of torque and is capable of achieving a 322 km/h top speed while dispatching the 0 – 100 km/h sprint in 4.8 seconds.

Inside, ventilated seats effectively cool and warm the body, helping driver and passengers to always stay comfortable. The Bentley luxury extends to the veneered tray tables located to the rear of the front seats, chrome inlay strips in the doors, as well as deep pile carpet mats with hide trimming. Further touches include the jewellery-design inspired bright chrome fuel cap with the famous ‘B’ badge, as well as an additional valet key that allows the car to be driven without giving access to the boot or glovebox.
