We suppose that in a country where supercars, ultra luxurious sedans and SUV’s of all sorts are as common as Citi Golf’s here in the SA, it’s only fair for the UAE’s police forces to patrol the roads and highways of Abu Dhabi in a Nissan GT-R. Albeit less extreme than Italy’s Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Polizia, a 357 kW GT-R in full police livery is an extremely rare sight, whichever way you see it.
Painted up in full United Arab Emirates regalia and looking a bit more race car than police car, it promises to be one of the most enjoyable work-related applications of the car since the Nurburgring fire-car. No word on whether any internal modifications have been made to accommodate its new purpose in life.
For those that don’t remember, a Nissan GT-R also serves daily duty as the world’s fastest fire vehicle at the Nurburgring, ready to put out fires at a moment’s notice, able to reach nearly any point on the ring from a central location in minutes.
Take a look at the photos below of the Abu Dhabi police GT-R on the street.
