Chrysler South Africa has extended the Jeep range by adding a special addition, dubbed the Jeep Wrangler Mountain.
“Customers’ growing demand for accessories and pre-accessorised vehicles has led us, at Chrysler South Africa, to conclude that there is a large untapped market for such specific derivatives. The Jeep Wrangler Mountain is the first in a new range of such unique customised Jeep vehicles that we will be launching into the South African market over the next couple of years”, says Guy Franken, Head Marketing and Corporate Affairs.
The special edition Jeep Wrangler Mountain is based on the previous ‘Highsport’ models, but adds features not previously available. The list of add-ons includes: 17-inch ‘mineral grey’ painted ‘MOAB’ wheels; a high-gloss front grille in the same colour; moulded side steps; unique ‘Mountain logo’ bonnet emblem and matte black bonnet decal; Mopar® black fuel filler cap; Mopar® rubber slush mats; as well as embossed seat inserts with embroidered ‘Mountain logo’.
The special edition also features Jeep’s Freedom Top – a three-piece modular hardtop that allows for easy removal and storage by separating into three manageable pieces.
The Wrangler Mountain edition is powered by Jeep’s 3.8-litre V6 engine that produces 146 kW and 315 Nm of torque at 4 000 r/min, which is mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission.
The Jeep Wrangler Mountain Edition is available in ‘Mango Tango’ and ‘Rescue Green’ exterior paint colours and sells for R339 900.
