MEC Design recently unveiled a tuning package for the 2010 Mercedes C63 AMG. It features an aerodynamic bodykit, interior refresh and a number of performance enhancements, pushing the C63 AMG even further towards the limits of its performance potential.
Under the bonnet, MEC Design have added an extra 105 kW by playing with the ECU software, adding a sports exhaust – including catalytic converters – and a sports air filter. Total power output from the 6.2-litre V8 engine is now 441 kW with 700 Nm of torque on tap.
A new front spoiler lip, air intake set, front bumper, rear spoiler and diffuser have all been added. These items have all been produced in carbon fibre and offer a high quality finish. Plenty of carbon fibre trim is present inside MEC’s C63 too. You’ll find it on the base of the seat shells, door trim panels, center console, instrument cluster surround, as well as on the sports steering wheel.
Spacers have been added to widen the car’s track – 3 mm at the front and 7 mm at the rear. MEC have also bolted on a set of their own one-piece ‘MECxtremeIII’ 20-inch alloy wheels, that wear 235/30 profile rubber.
