Lumma Design from Winterlingen introduces, in cooperation with G-Power, their latest kit for the BMW M5 E60, called CLR 730 RS. The full kit includes a power upgrade to 544 kW and 700 N.m, full body kit, new interior and technical tuning.

Lumma have paid special attention to the aerodynamics of their CLR 730 RS, in search for a top speed of over 360 km/h. The body of the BMW M5 is improved with ultra light but extremely compact carbon components. The full body kit consist of a bonnet, a boot lid with integrated spoiler, mirror caps, door handles, entrance strips and fenders – all made of carbon fibre.

Lumma have installed a multi-adjustable sport suspension on both axles, which lowers the car by up to 45 mm. Extra lightweight, 3-piece, forged alloy wheels were also added to the package. On the front axle are 21-inch Lumma Racing rims fitted with 255/30 size tyres, on the rear are slightly wider tyres in size 295/25. To stop the sports limousine, Lumma installed 6-piston brake callipers up front and 4-piston at the rear, biting into massive 405 mm discs up front and 380 mm at the rear.

The CLR 730 RS catapults itself from rest to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds, 200 km/h in 10 seconds and 300 km/h after 29.5 seconds. Top speed of the CLR 730 RS is 367,4 km/h.

The power output is achieved thanks to an ASA radial compress from G-Power. Lumma have also added a sport exhaust system, with 100 cell racing catalysts and 105 mm end pipes made of stainless steel with an engraved Lumma logo.

The cockpit of the CLR 730 RS has not been left untouched and is fitted with a combination of carbon, leather and suede. The final outcome is a two-tone leather interior in red/white with stitched diamond patterns. The suede was incorporated in the dashboard, as well as being used for the floor and boot mats with leather edging. All panels on the dashboard, center console, transmission control, steering wheel, hand brake lever and the backside of the sport seats are carbon fibre.

The colour scheme, both inside and out, are not to our taste but we can’t argue with massive performance figures or the stopping power the brake system is bound to generate. The CLR 730 RS makes a bold statement as a modern-day muscle car.
