English automaker Arash Motor Company, has released a new set of images featuring the Arash AF-10. The car, under development for over five years in a small Cambridge office facility, has finally been pushed through a 3D modelling programme.
The car is said to use a GM-sourced 410 kW 7.0-litre LS7 V8 engine. For is duty in the AF-10, the V8 will churn out up to 644 Nm and be mated to a 6-speed Graziano GT-ME1 transmission.
The AF-10 will roll on custom two-piece aluminum wheels, measuring 9.5×19 inches in the front, and 12.5×20 inches in the rear. A set of Michelin Pilot tyres measuring 265/35Z in front, and 335/30Z in the rear have been chosen for the arduous task of delivering power to the tarmac. Behind the wheels lie ventilated ceramic brake discs hugged by AP Racing calipers (eight-piston front, six-piston rear).
To keep the weight down, the Arash AF-10 car will use a combination of carbon fibre and aluminium honeycomb mesh. Similar materials are also used for the alleged ‘Formula 1 engineer-designed’ chassis. The car will have a steel roll cage, while further weight saving measures include the use of a polycarbonate rear window.
There is no telling if or when this car would be made, but it would be nice to see the fruits of Arash’s 5-year long labour.
