BMW chose not to exhibit its exciting new BMW 1 Series M Coupé at the Paris Motor Show, currently underway. Instead, the company had the car out in public, lurking the streets of… Paris, conveniently.
What a way to build already-peaked anticipation. Still not revealing all though, the car in these images shows a bit more of the body work and includes a preview of what the back will look like. Sporting a more aggressive rear bumper bar, the new BMW 1 Series M Coupé features a rear diffuser, typical of M cars, and a side gill on the rear corners. The front left corner of the car also shows the interesting bright orange paintwork as well as the suspected mesh-style alloy wheels inside heavily-pumped guards.
Definite specifications are yet to be confirmed, but as far as we know the tough and taut little M Coupé will feature an inline 6-cylinder engine using twin turbochargers to output 257 kW and 420 Nm of torque. The car will also come with BMW’s M-DCT transmission or the option of a six-speed manual.
Rumour has it BMW M will be revealing more details about the car in the next few days. We’ll definitely keep you posted.
