Limited to just 40 units, the Lexus IS250C Limited Edition convertible is available in three distinct colours (White Pearl, Lapis Lazuli and Starlight Black), with bespoke Saddle Tan trim and is specced to the hilt with many luxury additions from the rest of the Lexus range.
The IS250C continues to offer the appeal of a coupe with the style of a convertible thanks to its three-piece lightweight aluminium folding hardtop. Apart from the distinct colour options, the IS250C Limited Edition is visually differentiated by larger 18-inch wheels, while the Saddle Tan trim is matched to Dark Brown Birds Eye Maple wood trim.
The enhanced specification of the special Lexus model includes the addition of High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights with automatic leveling and washers, as well as LED Daytime Running Lights. The auto-retractable exterior mirrors are heated and feature an auto-dimming function and memory. Rain sensing wipers are also added to the standard list of features. Audiophiles will appreciate the Mark Levinson digital surround sound system with 5.1 channel playback and an additional four speakers, taking the total to 12. Owners also get to enjoy semi-aniline leather, seat coolers in addition to the standard seat heaters, and seat memory for driver and passenger.
Sharing the rest of the IS250C specification list, the Limited Edition is equipped with Hard Disk Drive (HDD) Navigation on a seven-inch colour touch screen. With 40GB of onboard capacity, it also enjoys Bluetooth connectivity, voice recognition and interfaces with personal music players and other accessories through its USB and audio jack provision. The automatic climate control is also configured specifically for open top driving, adjusting temperature and airflow settings depending on whether the roof is open or closed.
Powered by Lexus’ 2.5-litre V6 driving through a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shift, the IS250C Limited Edition delivers 153 kW at 6 400 r/min and 252 Nm at4 800 r/min. It is capable of a top speed of 210 km/h and has a combined cycle fuel economy figure of 9.3 L/100km.
