The Crazy Art Of Japanese Vanning

Posted on 16 November 2010 by Scott

Vanning came and went in the US after the 70?s, but in Japan, it would appear to have never left. In fact, it has only become bigger – quite literally.

Patio sized running boards, megaphone exhaust systems, and rear ‘wing’ spoilers that would make a Cadillac Fleetwood ‘75 look small. Welcome to the world of Japanese vanning. Some say the true art to vanning is adding the greatest abundance of body panels, without having them fall off on the drive home.

But vanning is about a lot more than creating an outrageous vehicle. It is about getting together with your fellow enthusiast and talking about who’d win in a battle between Pokemon vs. Batman. Well, if Batman was driving this rig, we’d have to put our money on Pokemon!
