Renault’s latest offering in the off-roader market is their 2012 Koleos, which is currently on display at the Johannesburg Motor Show.
The 2012 Renault Koleos has been given a new front face, featuring large air-intakes on each side, a new chromed grille, slimmer headlights and new side mirrors with integrated LED indicators. The rear end design has been carried over from the current Koleos, whilst the interior has been given several updates, including a new dashboard and trim choices.
The model will be available with either the 2.5-litre petrol engine (TR 25) or the 2.0 dCi diesel (M9R), which itself comes in a choice of two power outputs: 110 kW or 127 kW. The CO2 emissions of the diesel powerplants have been reduced significantly and the 4×2 dCi 150 version emits only 148 g/km. Available with either a 4×2 or 4×4 drivetrain, the Koleos range offers the versatility of being comfortable and nimble about town, whilst also being suitable for off-road duties.
The Koleos continues to be well equipped as standard. Features include 8 airbags, hands-free entry and ignition, joystick-operated Carminat TomTom Live navigation, dual-zone climate control and Hill Start Assist.
The new Renault Koleos is expected to go on sale in March next year, when we’ll bring you more details and pricing.
