Abt Sportsline has announced a new tuning program for the 2012 Volkswagen Beetle. Available for the 2.0-litre turbo’d engine, the Abt package includes new engine management software and a high-performance exhaust system for a 29 kW boost in power over the standard car and 176 kW in total.
Styling tweaks to match the additional performanc, include a front spoiler, wheels (available in 18 to 20-inch), as well as a set of oval tailipes. Headlight covers give the car a meaner look, while the “carbon-look deco set” with red trim helps the Abt Beetle standout. Abt brake calipers add more visual drama behind the wheels and the stripes, which we’re not sure about.
