BMW Individual has announced an exclusive 7 Series designed by Didit Hediprasetyo. Ever heard of Didit? Neither have we, but apparently he’s a fairly handy fashion designer from Indonesian, who BMW say has a ‘lightness of touch’, which is why they decided to work with him on their special 7 Series.
The BMW Individual 7 Series special edition is limited to only five units and, although designed in close collaboration with BMW Individual designers, prospective owners can still add their own customisations. The Didit Hediprasetyo 7 Series was inspired by, “the image of a lavender sky at sunrise in a serene desert landscape”, which has led to the use of bight pastel tones both inside and out.
The exterior of the 7 Series is finished in ‘Frozen Diamond Metallic’ paint, while inside, ‘Merino Silk Grey’ leather is contrast with piping in ‘Merino Platinum’. The cabin is further decorated with Alcantara or nappa leather on the roof lining, sun visors and the rear parcel shelf. A Piano Black lacquer finish is used on various interior trim in contrast to the light coloured leather, while the floor mats are lined with black ostrich leather. The same material is used for two special pillows, while the headrests come with embossed Didit Hediprasetyo logos.
The list of accessories also includes a BMW Individual refrigerator box with champagne glass holders placed in the rear centre armrest, a folding table finished in Silk grey leather, monitors for those in the back a vanity compartment placed in the roof liner, as well as a dog basket, which also uses silk grey leather or Alcantara.
