The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe Black Series is already a monster machine, packing 380 kW and 620 Nm of torque from its factory tuned 6.2-litre V8 engine. It’s understandably fast too, with the 0 – 100 km/h sprint over in 4.2 seconds, but German tuner Väth have gone nuts and created the V63 Supercharged.
The Väth V63 Supercharged tuning package adds – surprise, surprise – a supercharger system with air-to-water intercooler, re-calibrated engine electronics, stainless-steel exhaust manifold, sport catalytic converter and rear silencer without tailpipes but with flap control. The changes amount to a monumental power figure of 556 kW and 800 Nm of torque. The already quick 0 – 100 km/h sprint time now drops to 3.8 seconds and without an electronic limiter, the V63 Supercharged will reach 350 km/h.
The tuning package costs €38 500, about the same price as Mercedes C220 CDI in Germany, but if you spend a little more, you can have new suspension fitted too. The complete Väth suspension updates include: lower suspension by between 20 mm to 65 mm; stiffer springs and adjustable shock absorbers; a more powerful braking system with 405 mm discs; 20-inch wheels wrapped in 255/30 ZR20 tyres on the front and 295/25 ZR20 tyres on the rear axle. Other options include a blacked out grille without the Mercedes-Benz star, a sport steering wheel in leather with carbon or wood trim, and a speedometer marked to 400 km/h.
