2013 Lexus LS Preview

After Chinese website XCar published the first unofficial images of the new Lexus LS, Lexus themselves have posted a photo of their flagship sedan on Facebook, saying, “The countdown continues. Here’s a first look at the new 2013 LS. Much more to come on Monday.”

From what we can see thus far, it appears that the 2013 LS is a facelift rather than an entirely new version of the Lexus range-topper. The main styling differences between the current model and the new car are centered around the front, which adopts Lexus’ new spindle grille as well as new headlights, and the rear, which gains redesigned taillights. The LS 460 pictured here is the new F Sport version, which has been given sportier front and rear bumpers, side skirts, and a rear diffuser with prominent tailpipes.

The interior of the updated LS is also expected to benefit from revisions to the upholstery, trim and infotainment systems, while the F Sport version is also expected to feature a few trimmings to set it apart.

Lexus has said the 2013 LS will be available in LS 460, LS 460 L, LS 600h L hybrid and all-new LS 460 F Sport versions. We’ll have to wait until Monday for more details.
