Land Rover Defender 90 XS By Chelsea Truck Company

Kahn Design has a separate division called the Chelsea Truck Company, which specialises in custom off-road vehicles. Their latest creation is the Land Rover Defender 90 XS and is aiming straight for the hearts of Cheshire, Surrey and Essex residents.

Cosmetic updates to the 3-door Defender include Orkney Grey paintwork with contrasting satin black details for the headlight covers, grille, side steps, bumpers, mirror caps and the Kahn Design 18-inch alloy wheels. BF Goodrich All-Terrain tyres add to the rugged look of the Defender, although we all know these cars are likely to see little more than a few puddles on UK roads.

Inside, the Chelsea Truck Company has made a serious effort, with sports seats added in quilted leather with contrast stitching, as well as having given the same treatment to the door panels, padded armrest, gear lever, roof lining, sun visors and sections of the dashboard. The steering wheel is dressed in grey Alcantara, while Kahn added a red fascia to the speedometer and rev counter.

The engine remains unchanged, with the standard 2.2-litre turbo-diesel unit offering a modest 88 kW and 360 Nm of torque.
