We just cannot get enough of tuned versions of the monster Nissan GT-R. As if the standard Nissan GT-R was completely devoid of high performance potential, some people can’t help but trying to get that absolute last ounce of speed and handling out of them. The latest package comes from US tuner, Switzer Performance, which has released a new program for any 2012 / 2013 Nissan GT-R. They are calling it the P600 PKG kit.
The P600 PKG kit offers an increase in power to 447 kW (600 bhp). Switzer fit a free-flowing SS90 exhaust and new high-flow filters for even better induction. That new exhaust system also makes the powerful, twin-turbo, 3.8-litre V6 engine, sound even more insane. The ECU has also been updated with new software and the result is an increased performance sprint to 100 km/h of just 2.6 seconds with launch control engaged, which is 0.2 seconds quicker than the claimed standard time by Nissan.
There are no side skirt additions, bigger wings or any styling / aerodynamic changes at all to the Switzer GT-R. Although the P600 PKG does ride on new, 20-inch, Switzer Signature lightweight aluminum wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Supersport tyres. According to the tuner these tyres improve the vehicle’s handling capabilities and also provide a better ride quality as a bonus.
The total price of the package is US$12 990 (roughly R103 000 at today’s R.o.E).
