Like the butch looks of the Audi Q7 V12, but can’t stretch to meet the R1.4 million asking price? Well Kahn design have an alternative solution. Even if you do happen to have a Q7 V12 already, it doesn’t look as badass as this widebody package.
The Audi Q7 Quattro S Line Wide Track by Kahn Design is an exercise in accentuating the Q7′s imposing looks, while shrinking its visual proportions. The Q7′s exterior has been given a thorough reworking, with plenty of modifications, most notably the wider front and rear tracks, together with the flared wheel arches to accommodate them. The front fenders have also been given a set of winged air vents, LED daytime running lights have been added to the lower section of the front bumper, the rear bumper has been given vents and a diffuser, while an additional roof spoiler has been added. Finally, 22-inch five-spoke Kahn RS-R wheels have been fitted and provide a glimpse of the brake calipers that are finished in a ‘liquid gold’ colour.
The interior has not been ignored and features door sill plates in stainless steel, a revised instrument cluster with red and white backing, as well as vented foot pedals in machined aluminium. The seats, covered in black leather, have been given a quilted pattern and white stitching.
The Kahn Q7 Wide Track is also fitted with an electronic lowering module for the air suspension, which includes not only height adjustable settings, but also anti-roll control. The 3.0-litre TDI engine has been left untouched and produces 176 kW and 550 Nm. In combination with all-wheel drive and a 6-speed ‘S tronic’ transmission, the standard-spec Q7 SUV reaches 100 km/h from a standing start in 7.9 seconds and has a top speed of 218 km/h.
