ABT Sportsline announced plans for their AS3 model back in March already, almost 6 months ahead of the new Audi A3′s official unveiling at the Paris Motor Show.
As previewed, the Abt Sportsline AS3 features a new front spoiler, a revised grille and aerodynamic side skirts. There’s also a boot-mounted spoiler, rear diffuser insert and a sports exhaust system. Customers can also order stiffer and lower, coil-over suspension and Abt brake kit with 345 mm discs.
Beneath the bonnet, the 1.4-litre TFSI can be boosted from 92 kW to 125 kW, the 2.0-litre TSFI from 147 kW to 206 kW and the 2.0-litre TDI can be had with either 132 kW or 154 kW, up from 103 kW.
No torque or pricing figures have been released just yet, but no doubt both will be significantly more than the standard A3.
