New STI Performance Parts For Subaru BRZ

Subaru BRZ STI Performance Parts

Subaru has always had a massive following in Australia. It’s therefore no surprise that the Japanese manufacturer decided to reward their loyal neighbours by revealing a new set of upcoming STI performance parts for the BRZ sports car at the Australian Motor Show in Sydney.

The STI (Subaru Tecnica International) kit doesn’t include any power or turbo upgrades at the moment for the BRZ, those will no doubt come with the full-blown STI version of the BRZ we so anxiously await, but it does offer a range of aerodynamic parts, including front spoilers and side skirts, as well as a taller boot lip spoiler and a rear diffuser.

For the interior of the STI catalogue for the BRZ offers a quick shift and short thrown gear lever, a bespoke STI gear shift knob, an STI push start switch and a special STI instrument panel. The range also includes some more meaty additions like: a flexible front suspension tower bar; black, light weight 17-inch alloy wheels; a set of stiffer and lower coilover springs; and a low-resistance sport exhaust system.

Subaru didn’t announce pricing or when they’d be available in Australia, or in the rest of the world for that matter, but it’s a good start for Subaru and shows the manufacturer’s intent to make the BRZ the more driver-focussed machine over that of the Toyota 86.
