2013 Nissan Nismo GT-R GT3

Following the announcement of the updated 2013 Nissan GT-R, Nissan Motorsport (NISMO), have unveiled their equivalent race car, the 2013 Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3.

For 2013 emphasis has been placed on engine durability, with Nismo having revised the camshaft timing of the 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V6 and upped power from 390 kW to 405 kW. Torque has also increased from 612 Nm to 637 Nm.

A new aerodynamics package has been fitted, with new canards and a repositioned rear wing, all for improved downforce. As a result, the suspension and brake balance have been revised accordingly. The gearbox has also been given new ratios to maximise benefit from the increased power and torque. The car’s weight remains unchanged at 1 300 kg.

Built to compete in various GT classes, including the European Le Mans series and Japanese Super GT, the Nismo GT-R GT3 is available to order at a cost of around £270 000. For customers with 2012 GT-R GT3s, an upgrade package to 2013 the new 2013 spec is under development.
