The Best Made Better: Ferrari 458 By Different Car

We must commend any tuner or customer who thinks they can take the best looking car in the world and make it even sexier. We commend them even more when the car emerges from the transformation not looking like a dog’s breakfast.

This body kitted Ferrari 458 Spider by United Arab Emirates tuner, Different Car, has done just that and, with some subtle, and some not-so-subtle add-ons, they have almost completely changed the look of the original Pininfarina design.

This custom project for a UAE-based customer is called the F66 and the owner clearly wanted to make a car that was one-part pseudo-Lamborghini Gallardo and two-parts a pseudo-LMP 458 racing car for the road.

The squarer front end and the triangular shapes that are infused into it are undoubtedly Lamborghini Gallardo inspired. The tweaks don’t seem like much, but what they’ve done is completely change the cars countenance, with brand new intakes and extra creases that lead the eye flowing into the chiselled headlights.

Down the sides, Different Car have changed the skirts, again, to something a little more angular and Lamborghini looking. The tuner has then added new carbon fibre intakes and carbon fibre mirror housings.

At the back, there’s a far less subtle racing wing, new rear bumper and diffuser, which looks like it’ll be more at home at Imola than Casino Square in Monte Carlo.

Sadly, no performance details are available for this particular Ferrari 458, but interestingly, the Different Car F66 actually appears to be the newer Ferrari 458 Spider, rather than the 458 Italia Coupe, although we see absolutely no reason why the kit won’t fit on the Coupe as well.
