Gift Experience South Africa has stepped up to the plate to make the dreams of many a petrol-head a reality. In a daring break with the norm, being able to drive a supercar, even for a short while, is now suddenly within the reach of a much larger portion of the South African population.
Previously, the realm of supercar driving has been the domain of the wealthy, racing car drivers, or a few fortunate motor journalists. Now, however, in a series of unique public events, Gift Experience South Africa will provide drivers from the age of 21 with the opportunity to get their hands on and experience the true delight of actually driving a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Porsche, Audi R8 and more for under R2000 a session.
Events are run as instructed track days with each driver being accompanied by a professional instructor who can coax the very best experience out of even the cautious over several laps on Killarney and Zwartkops racetracks. With a wide selection of vehicles, a controlled environment and the incredible opportunity to actually select which vehicle they would like to drive, Gift Experience South Africa is bringing Christmas alive for all car fans.
For younger supercar fans and those looking for the ultimate thrill ride, Gift Experience South Africa are also offering passenger hotlaps in an Ariel Atom – high speed laps around the track driven by a professional driver in a 500hp two-seater.
Drivers can select from an array of driving packages incorporating driving sessions in one, two, three or four supercars of their choice. The first event is the weekend of 18th and 19th January 2014 at Zwartkops Raceway. Bookings are already open and driving gift vouchers for these events can be purchased on the Gift Experience South Africa website. The Gift Experience South Africa supercar driving season will end in March in Cape Town.
