This is a great time-lapse video showing the production cycle of the BMW X range of SUV and SAVs. This production facility is in Spartanburg, South Carolina and each time we see a production line in action, the extent of automation is becoming more obvious. It might be sad to say, but the human touch seems almost a token gesture in this BMW plant, where robots are ubiquitous and could likely do a faster and more accurate job of the visual quality control inspections too.
