The McLaren 650S is based on the McLaren 12C with know-how gleaned from the superior McLaren P1. The 650S blends styling elements from the P1 into those of the 12C too. McLaren invited media to drive the 650S at the Ascari Race Resort in Spain, where Chris Harris reports back on the effects of changes to the 12C-based chassis, power and the systems that control them.
