Audi have issued their German rivals, Porsche, an irreverent ‘welcome back’ to the 24-hours of Le Mans. The message is delivered in no uncertain terms by an Audi R18 e-tron quattro that travels from Ingolstadt to a Porsche Centre in Zuffenhausen. ‘No love lost’ as they say!
As a refresher, Porsche is returning to Le Mans later this month following a 16-year absence. The company will compete in their new 919 Hybrid which features a turbocharged 2.0-litre V4 engine in combination with an electric motor and lithium-ion battery pack.
