The McLaren F1 is the car that began the woking-based manufacturer’s entry into the supercar realm. Powered by a 6.0-litre V12 supplied by BMW, it remains the fastest naturally aspirated production car ever built, with a top speed of 384 km/h.
To see one of only 106 F1s ever built is an occasion on its own (just pay a visit to the Franschhoek Motor Museum when you’re next in the Cape), however, this McLaren club video from Tuscany is exceptional, with no less than 12 F1s and 6 McLaren F1 GTR; of which just 28 were built for GT racing and the 24-Hours of Le Mans. Oh, and let’s not forget the McLaren P1, 12C and 650S ‘support’ vehicles.
