The Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ share the same 2.0-litre in-line 4-cylinder FA20 engine that produces 147 kW and 205 Nm of torque. In a rear-wheel drive two-door sportscar that’s not a lot of grunt and you need to wind up the revs to feel like you’re getting somewhere.
Turbo and supercharger upgrades are the quickest way to greater power and we’ve seen the results in the Subaru BRZ. So when the experts are Cosworth announce their intention to release a performance pack for the 86 and BRZ, it’s worth paying attention. Admittedly this teaser doesn’t tell us what to expect in the way of forced-induction, but either way, you can rest assured it’ll be a comprehensive offering.
