Four-cylinder turbocharged versions of the Porsche Cayman and Boxster continue their development at the Nordschleife. Porsche has already revealed a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine for the new Macan compact SUV, with 175 kW and 350 Nm of torque, and the engine headed for the Cayman and Boxster will be the latest in Porsche’s horizontally-opposed heritage. As with every manufacturer, a move to small capacity engines brings reductions in environmental emissions, weight and fuel consumption.
