The Nissan Qashqai range has expanded to include seven derivatives from the original five. The changes focus on gearbox and engine configurations and all seven variants are turbo charged.
The updated Nissan Qashqai range features the Xtronic gearbox on the 1.2T Acenta model. This model produces 85kW/165Nm with fuel averaging at 6.2l/100km. The Qashqai range now offers customers two derivatives fitted with the constantly variable transmission.
Sitting at the top of the Nissan Qashqai range is the 1.6T Acenta with 120kW/240Nm from a turbo charged petrol engine. Fitted with the manual gearbox, the claimed fuel consumption mimics that of the 1.2T thanks to features like stop/start.
The Acenta 1.2T comes with 17-inch wheels and the 1.6T with tarmac designed 19-inch wheels (that’s not a typo). The latter also includes LED headlights, silver roof rails, keyless entry and push-button start. The Techno Pack is available on either model as an option with 7-inch touchscreen, navigation and Nissan’s Around View Monitor.
The Nissan Qashqai 1.6 dCi Acenta Xtronic is a South African Car of the Year Finalist and continues to roll in the accolades by competing for the title World Car of the Year.
