Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobiles (DPCA) is a Chinese-based venture between aforementioned partners and will enable the DPCA to reach its goal of selling 1.5 million cars in China and ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) by 2020. On the 2nd of March production of the Dongfeng Fengshen L60 began at the Wuhan 1 Plant. The Fengshen L60 is a C-segment sedan and the first to carry the DPCA brand. The DPCA will take charge of distribution and services for Peugeot, Citroen, and Fengshen brands in ASEAN countries.
Commenting on the Fengshen L60 production start, Jean Mouro, Executive Vice President of DPCA, said: “Starting production of the Fengshen L60, our first own-brand car, is a milestone in the cooperation between DFG and PSA. The model will go on sale in spring 2015 and will help DPCA to meet its target of selling 1,5 million cars in China and ASEAN in 2020.
